We. Are. Back. Racing again on July 20th!

We are officially back racing because entries are now officially OPEN!!!

July 18th will see the biggest supporter of afforable karting in SA, the Barossa Go Kart Club play host to some good old fashion reverse direction racing 👊😎

So now we have some good news and some bad news.

Good news? Classic Kartsport is on offer. 1x free practice session followed by 5×10 lap races with races 4 and 5 under lights. Nothing quite like night racing is there? 😁

Bad news? Don’t panic, it’s not too bad. Our entry fee remains at $25 per event but day licensing has increased to $35 bringing the entry total to $60 (up from $50). No one likes a price increase but unfortunately this one is unavoidable. That said we are still BY FAR the most affordable way to going racing in SA 😃

So less reading, more action! Click the link below to get entered today ⬇️

Event prospectus (supp regs) out soon.

We look forward to seeing everyone back out there for some good old grassroots racing!

For people who wish to run later in the day, gates will open again between 12.30pm and 1pm.  If you require entry for the afternoon please state that in your email.

We require all drivers to sign on and make payment prior to setting up for the session. Once you have your pit spot, please attend the club room to sign on immediately. Please bring photo identification (i.e. drivers license).

The canteen will not be in operation so we recommend that entrants bring food and drinks. We will have a lunch break between 12.30pm and 1pm in which you will be able to leave the track to purchase food if you  so wish but will be required to be back no later than 1pm.

To register your spot, please email…

kartsportsa@outlook.com

Please state your full name, crew members name, the class you would normally run and what time you will be attending (9am or 12.30pm). Registrations close at 5pm on the 13th of June.

Please remember, there are only 40 spots available so do not delay registering. Please keep in mind that with limited spots, only commit to registering if you actually plan to attend so that others do not miss out unnecessarily.

We look forward to getting some of you back on track, dust off the cobwebs, try some different set ups and racing lines, stuff you don’t always get to do during a race meeting.  But most importantly, just enjoy driving your karts again!!!

April 18th & May Race Meeting Cancelled – COVID-19

Kartsport SA Committee has taken the decision to cancel our upcoming April race meeting at the Barossa Go-Kart Club.

We are extremely disappointed but given the current situation surrounding the COVID-19 virus it would be irresponsible to run a race meeting. We must do our part to stop the potential spread of the virus and protect our competitors, crew, spectators, officials and volunteers.

The race meeting scheduled for May 23rd has also been cancelled.

We will continue to monitor the situation and follow government advice. We will make an announcement in relation to our next race meeting when we have a clearer understanding of what is permitted regarding public gatherings & events moving forward.

Remember, be alert, keep informed and stay safe.

Kartsport SA Committee.
